A Therapeutic Approach
Kathy’s approach to therapy is focused on personal philosophies which are founded on Biblical world-view. She uses a variety of theoretical approaches to meet the unique needs of her clients. Treatment modalities include Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Family Systems Therapy and Play Therapy. Her vision is to guide her clients to live a life of passion through heightening their inner personal awareness of self and enhancing personal fulfillment.
Kathy’s therapeutic approach is based on a variety of treatment modalities and tailored to fit the unique needs of the individual and family. Her goal is to provide a safe and confidential environment where a person and their family can explore the past, gain insight, and make positive changes.
The law protects the relationship between a client and a therapist as well as client records and a client’s information cannot be disclosed without written permission.
Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which we are required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, we must notify and inform the authorities and the intended victim.
If a client intends to harm him or herself, we will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in insuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, we will take further measure without their permission that are provided to us by law in order to ensure their safety.
